Information Systems Manager \ Business Systems Manager

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Information Systems Manager \ Business Systems Manager to join a market leading client within a global manufacturing business based in Slough. Even though this is a manager’s position it is a very hands on role with the post holder expected to be hands on in the day to day of the business.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a dual skill set with a primary focus on Information\Business Systems, analysis and development whilst also providing a secondary focus on user-based help desk support. The primary responsibility will be the support, analysis and development of the European ERP system within the UK and some ad-hoc support for the Swiss site. This will primarily be around MS SQL including basic SQL analysis\troubleshooting, development, SSIS, SSRS and information reporting as required by the business. Consequently, experience with and development of ERP systems would be a distinct advantage.

The successful with be required to support Senior Management by leading on and managing the development and provision of regular, accurate and timely reports. Along with having the ability to understand business processes and procedures, interpret them and find solutions through IS systems is also a key part to this role.

Responsibilities / Skills required:

  • Mid-Level SQL DBA\development\SSIS\SSRS
  • Basic Object Orientated Programming Skills e.g. VB
  • Basic web development e.g. HTML, Java, PHP
  • Ability to understand processes, interpret business requirements etc. and thus able to offer suitable solutions to business problems and issues through technology.
  • Ability to interpret data and business information and provide meaningful reports and feedback into the business as well as specific business projects
  • Development lifecycle experience including testing, documentation and release management
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ERP in General
  • Basic experience and knowledge of working in a service desk environment and end user support
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Some Professional Certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certifications, development and\or project methodology certification such as PRINCE2, AGILE etc.
